Today was a great day! I hope you found that drop off and pick up ran a little smoother today as students learn where to go. Students are doing a great job learning class procedures and routines and are eager to learn.
There was a large influx in the number of students who purchased breakfast this morning. Breakfast is available to any student who wants it, but it is charged to the student's lunch account. We want to make sure parents are aware of, and approve of, these purchases. You can access your student's My School Bucks account digitally to monitor what is being purchased for breakfast and/or lunch.
Below are a few reminders that will help make the drop off and pick up process a little smoother and ensure student and staff safety:
- If you would like to walk your student to the front doors of the building when dropping off, please park at the track. Please do not park in the bus drive or the main parking lot.
-If you would like to use the drop off or pick up line, please pull all the way up to the farthest spot. This will allow for multiple cars to be unloaded/ loaded at a time.
-When dropping off, please work with your student to be ready to step out of the car with seatbelt off and bag in hand.
-If your child is in a carseat that is on the driver's side of the car, please work with them to learn how to unbuckle and move to the passenger side door. This will help ensure the safety of your child and our staff by keeping them out of the line of traffic. We understand this may take some time to learn and we will continue to assist your child as long as needed.
-If you need to exit your vehicle to assist your child when dropping off or picking up, please use the track parking. For your safety and the safety of others, please remain in your vehicle at all times while in the car line. Please feel free to pull over out of the flow of traffic once you are through the line if you need to help your child buckle.
