Welcome Back, Cougar Families! 🐾
We hope your family enjoyed a wonderful and restful Spring Break! We are excited to welcome students back this week and once again fill our hallways with energy, excitement, and the joy of learning. It’s always amazing to see how quickly our Cougar Cubs jump right back into their routines and continue growing academically and socially.
This week is also the final week of the grading period. Our teachers will be completing final assessments and wrapping up learning goals from the third nine weeks. You can support your child by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, arrive at school on time each day, and by asking them to share something they learned at school. Questions like “What was the most interesting thing you learned today?” or “What was something challenging that you worked through?” can spark great conversations and reinforce learning.
With the beautiful spring weather arriving, we are also looking for opportunities to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine while learning. Outdoor movement and hands-on activities are wonderful ways for our young learners to stay engaged and energized as we head into the final stretch of the grading period. Be sure to check the lost and found for those sweatshirts and jackets that have been lost this semester. Anything remaining at the end of the year will be donated.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are proud of the growth our Cougar Cubs are making each day and appreciate all you do to help them succeed.
Let’s make it a great week at China Spring Primary! 🐾

Parent/Teacher Conferences
March 27th is one of our designated parent-teacher conference days. If you are interested in a parent-teacher conference, please email your student's teacher to schedule a time. If at any time you have questions about your student's performance, please email the teacher and they are happy to collaborate with you.
Celebrating CSP Staff
Thank you to those that have dropped off gift cards and small gifts for our teachers! We we able to do another staff wheel of fortune on Thursday and provided 5 additional teachers with a special prize!
One of the ways we keep spirits high on our campus is through fun staff competitions and lots of well-deserved recognition. We are currently collecting small, new gifts or gift certificates to use as staff prizes throughout the spring semester.
Gifts do not need to exceed $5—a coffee card, small treat, or simple surprise goes a long way! Donations can be dropped off in the front office at any time.
Thank you for helping us celebrate and encourage the amazing staff who pour so much into your children every day. Your support truly makes a difference! 💙
Attendance Matters!
Students that are at risk of not meeting the 90% attendance law will be invited to instructional recovery time beginning in April. Instructional recovery time will be held before school and on Fridays.
90% Law: The state of Texas requires students to be present 90% of the school year in order to receive credit for their current grade level.
Attendance is taken every day at 9:30am. Your student must be on campus at this time to be counted present for the day.
When absent: Only 4 days total per semester can be excused by a PARENT NOTE (parent signed excuse). For all absences exceeding 4, a doctor’s note or other formal documentation is required. All excuse notes must be turned in to the Front Office within 3 school days of the student’s absence.
Additional attendance information can be found in our student handbook on the CSISD website.
25-26 BELL SCHEDULE: Our instructional school day is 7:50am-3:50pm. Campus opens at 7:00am to begin car rider drop off. Breakfast will be available for students from 7:00am-7:50am. The first instructional bell rings at 7:50am. Students arriving after this bell are tardy and must be signed in to the office by a parent. Students with excessive tardies will be ineligible to participate in campus attendance incentives.
