CSP Attendance Challenge: Present Potatoes
Attendance Matters more now than ever! Each day that your child's classroom has 100% attendance, the class will earn a piece to add to their PRESENT POTATO. Once the class has earned all pieces to complete their potato, they will receive a visit from a special guest and a salty snack! If you would like to sponsor a box or two of 20 individually packed chips, please feel free to drop them off at the CSP office. We ask that "hot" or "bold" , nor Takis chips are not provided for our Cougar Cubs. Thank you!
CSP Family Math Night
Your Form Submission Matters
China Spring ISD is asking every family to complete the National School Lunch Program Form for the 2026-27 school year. Every response matters. The information helps us have a clearer picture of our school community and make sure we have the resources and programs to support all students. Whether or not your family qualifies for meal benefits, completing the form helps strengthen our district and the services we can provide to students. Your information is kept private. China Spring ISD does not have access to the information you provide on the form. Families only need to complete one application for all students in the household: Complete the National School Lunch Program Form.
Camp Careful Parent Assembly
China Spring ISD Social Services is hosting Camp Careful, a parent educational forum, on Monday, October 5, from 6:00-7:00 pm in the library at China Spring Elementary School. Guest speaker Dr. Soo Battle is a board-certified pediatrician and the founder of Camp Careful, a program that helps parents, children and communities learn ways to prevent child sexual abuse. Dr. Battle will share age-appropriate strategies and practical tools parents can use to talk with their children about personal safety, empowerment and open communication. Due to the sensitive nature of the material, this event is intended for parents and guardians only. Dr. Battle will host a student assembly at CSP on November 5. Parents will receive additional information about the assembly, including a consent form for student participation, October 22.

Classes that have 60% of students registered will earn hot cocoa in class on Monday!!
DASH DAY - Thursday, October 8
We need volunteers!! Please sign up here. Remember all volunteers must be a CSISD approved volunteer, and paperwork is submitted annually.
Parents are invited to attend Dash Day and watch the fun!
Students will gather with their class at the track area for a fun run with inflatables!
You do not need to check in at the front office to attend - just go to the track area. Tom's Coffee Truck will also be there!
If you would like to check out your child after their Dash Day, please register for a fast pass. The deadline to register for the check out fast pass is Monday, October 5th at midnight.
When completing the fast pass registration, parents must enter the email they use to access the CISD parent portal. Failure to do so will result in the fast pass being voided, and require parents to sign students out in the office.
Thank you to Cougar Inflatables for providing the inflatables for our Cougar Dash Event!
Upcoming Safety Lock Down Drill, Week of October 12
In one week, China Spring Primary will conduct a scheduled lockdown drill as part of our required safety procedures. A lockdown drill teaches students and staff how to respond if there is a potential safety threat inside or outside the building that requires everyone to remain safely secured in classrooms. To help students feel prepared, staff will review lockdown procedures through a classroom presentation and discuss what to expect before the drill takes place. Our goal is to conduct the drill in a calm, age-appropriate manner that helps students practice important safety procedures without creating unnecessary anxiety.
