Dear Cougar Cub Families,

What a great start, little Cougs! Thank you to all of our families who joined us for Parent Information Night! We loved seeing so many of you on campus and appreciate your partnership as we work together to support our little cougars. We are also excited about how smoothly our morning and afternoon carlines are running. Your patience and teamwork are making a big difference! Finally, a huge thank you to our families for the abundance of snack donations sent in for classrooms. Your generosity helps our teachers and students start each day ready to learn and grow. We are grateful for our amazing China Spring Primary families!

Bridging School and Home: Easy Ways to Support Learning at Home

You don’t need a lot of extra time or special materials to support your child’s learning. Everyday routines and simple activities at home can help build independence, responsibility, confidence, and important academic skills. This week's focus is Building Responsibility through Routines.

  • Have your child

follow a consistent morning and bedtime routine

    .

  • Give your child simple jobs such as putting away shoes, cleaning up toys, or helping set the table.

  • Encourage your child to

complete a task before moving on to the next activity

    .

  • Give directions one or two steps at a time and ask your child to repeat them back to you.

  • Let your child try things independently before stepping in to help.

Dismissal Highlights

  • Campus dismissal begins at 3:50 PM

  • Due to dismissal, the cut-off for changing how a student will get home or picking your child up early is 2:45 p.m. After that time, we will not be able to get your child early and they will go home the route they were designated for that day.

  • All parents who choose to pick up their student(s) will need to follow the dismissal traffic procedures for the safety of each child and for proper traffic flow.

  • Each vehicle will need to drive through the designated lanes in front of the school. Parents will be directed to pull up to a numbered area where children will meet their parent(s).

More detailed information concerning dismissal can be found on our Parent Back to School Guide

Child Nutrition

Lunch visitors will not be allowed until August 31. This will allow staff and students to establish appropriate lunch procedures and routines. Beginning August 31, lunch visitors should notify the teacher ahead of time so the student is escorted to the appropriate location. Visitors must check in  at the front office with their state issued ID, and must be on the student’s contact list. No exceptions can be made.
