Dear CSP Families,
As we begin our final week before Christmas break, our focus remains on finishing the semester strong while enjoying the special moments that make this time of year so meaningful. Our students have worked hard, and we are proud of the growth, perseverance, and positive choices we continue to see across our campus.
Teachers will maintain daily routines this week to help students stay focused and feel confident as we wrap up learning for the semester. A consistent schedule is especially helpful during this exciting time, and your support with regular attendance and punctuality is greatly appreciated.
Christmas break will begin after school on December 18, 2025, and students will return on January 5, 2026. We hope this time allows your family to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the season together.
Thank you for being such a supportive and caring school community. On behalf of our entire staff, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe, restful holiday break.
Warmly,
Ms. Duncan

Morning Drop Off Reminders
A friendly reminder to please remain in your car at all times while in the drop off line, and pull up to the farthest person to assist your child. This will help us keep the line moving and allow for cars to move out of passing traffic and off of the street.
If you would like to walk your child to the front doors, please park at the track and use the sidewalk. Parents may not park in the front parking lot during morning drop off; this is a safety concern for both you and your child.
If your child is having a tough morning and is refusing to get out of the car, you may be asked to park and someone will come out to assist you. This helps the line keep moving. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe.
🎄💙 Celebrating the 12 Days of Cougar Christmas! 💙🎄
I would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who helped shower our staff with Cougar Christmas cheer! Your generosity means so much and truly helps us make this season magical for those who care for our Cubs every day!
Class Christmas Parties
Please join us for our Class Christmas Parties on December 18th!
To help ensure we have enough space in our classrooms, we must limit attendance to two adults per student. You will receive additional details from your room parents soon. The link below allows you to pre-register to attend the party(s). You may also sign up for a Fast Pass (meaning pre-check out your student) if you plan to take them home directly after the last class party you’re attending.
👉 If you do NOT check students out using the link below, you must leave your student in the classroom and check them out through the front office as you normally would.
Important Reminders:
Please limit sign-ups to two adults per student party.
All adults must be listed on the student’s Parent Portal Contacts.
Strollers are allowed, but no school-aged children may attend with you.
Students are not permitted to attend another grade level’s party.
📅 Event Date: Thursday, December 18
Party Times: Pre-Registration Fast Pass Link:
Pre-K: 9:30–10:30 Pre-K Christmas Party Link
Kinder: 8:45–9:45 Kinder Christmas Party Link
1st Grade: 10:00–10:45 1st Christmas Party Link
If you have more than one student’s party to attend, sign up for a Fast Pass check out for all your students (you will be given an armband for each) but only sign out the student from the latest party time. Then, come to the office to Fast Pass sign out your student (**SKIP the LINE by presenting that students arm band from their teacher to be called down quickly) or check out students from earlier party times as you normally would. Parents/Guests are not allowed to retrieve students from earlier class parties. We are happy to call students to the office to leave. To ensure the safety of ALL, students should always leave through the office.
Reminders
JACKETS: Please be sure to send your student with a jacket each day. Weather permitting, students will continue to go outside for recess.
LOST AND FOUND: The lost and found is growing each day. Please be sure to write your student's name on jackets, water bottles, gloves and hats.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
90% Law: The state of Texas requires students to be present 90% of the school year in order to receive credit for their current grade level.
Attendance is taken every day at 9:30am. Your student must be on campus at this time to be counted present for the day.
When absent: Only 4 days total per semester can be excused by a PARENT NOTE (parent signed excuse). For all absences exceeding 4, a doctor’s note or
other formal documentation is required. All excuse notes must be turned in to the Front Office within 3 school days of the student’s absence.
Additional attendance information can be found in our student handbook on the CSISD website.
25-26 BELL SCHEDULE: Our instructional school day is 7:50am-3:50pm. Campus opens at 7:00am to begin car rider drop off. Breakfast will be available for students from 7:00am-7:50am. The first instructional bell rings at 7:50am. Students arriving after this bell are tardy and must be signed in to the office by a parent. Students with excessive tardies will be ineligible to participate in campus attendance incentives.
LUNCH VISITORS: Parents are now able to join their student for lunch. All visitors must present their government issued ID and check in at the office. Visitors will only be permitted if they are listed in the students' records. While visiting CSP during lunch, please remember:
Visitors are only permitted in the cafeteria and may not join students
when returning to class.
Younger siblings are welcome to join in the fun, but they are expected
to follow CSP lunch expectations to ensure safety for all students and staff.
We appreciate your help in enforcing this.
