Dear Families,
This week we honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. Veterans Day is Tuesday, November 11, and our school will take time to learn about, reflect on, and thank the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Here’s what to know for the week:
Wear Red, White, and Blue (Tuesday 11/11): Students and staff are encouraged to show their appreciation by wearing patriotic colors.
School Recognition: We will hold a brief campus-wide moment of silence on Tuesday morning, followed by age-appropriate classroom activities highlighting the meaning of Veterans Day.
Letters of Thanks: Classes will create thank-you cards for local veterans. If you know a veteran or organization that would appreciate receiving student letters, please share contact information with us.
As always, thank you for partnering with us. Your support helps our students understand the importance of service, gratitude, and community. If you are a veteran, or have a veteran in your family, thank you. We are grateful for your sacrifice and proud to honor you this week.
With appreciation,
Ms. Duncan

The drill will be brief and age-appropriate.
Teachers will prepare students in advance using calm, clear language.

Reminders
COOLER WEATHER: Please make sure your child brings a jacket each morning and that all items are labeled with their name. Our lost and found is growing more and more each day. Please check the lost and found in the front office if your child is missing a jacket, lunchbox, or water bottle.
MORNING DROP OFF: A friendly reminder to please remain in your car at all times while in the drop off line.
If you would like to personally assist your student in exiting the car and steal a final hug and kiss, please park at the track and walk your student to the sidewalk.
Staying in your car helps the line move quickly and safely.
More families are joining the carline. This is extending the line and taking a little longer to get through. Please plan accordingly.
Campus opens at 7:00am to begin car rider drop off. Please do not drop your student off before this time.
The first instructional bell rings at 7:50am.
Students arriving after this bell are tardy and must be signed in to the office by a parent.
JACKETS: Please be sure to send your student with a jacket each day. Weather permitting, students will continue to go outside for recess.
LOST AND FOUND: The lost and found is growing each day. Please be sure to write your student's name on jackets, water bottles, gloves and hats.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
90% Law: The state of Texas requires students to be present 90% of the school year in order to receive credit for their current grade level.
Attendance is taken every day at 9:30am. Your student must be on campus at this time to be counted present for the day.
When absent: Only 4 days total per semester can be excused by a PARENT NOTE (parent signed excuse). For all absences exceeding 4, a doctor’s note or other formal documentation is required. All excuse notes must be turned in to the Front Office within 3 school days of the student’s absence.
Additional attendance information can be found in our student handbook on the CSISD website.
25-26 BELL SCHEDULE: Our instructional school day is 7:50am-3:50pm. Campus opens at 7:00am to begin car rider drop off. Breakfast will be available for students from 7:00am-7:50am. The first instructional bell rings at 7:50am. Students arriving after this bell are tardy and must be signed in to the office by a parent. Every 3 tardies count as a student absence.
LUNCH VISITORS: Parents are now able to join their student for lunch. All visitors must present their government issued ID and check in at the office. Visitors will only be permitted if they are listed in the students' records. While visiting CSP during lunch, please remember:
Visitors are only permitted in the cafeteria and may not join students when returning to class.
Younger siblings are welcome to join in the fun, but they are expected to follow CSP lunch expectations to ensure safety for all students and staff. We appreciate your help in enforcing this.
