Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of October! Our classrooms are full of excitement as we head into the week of Halloween. Thank you for helping your children come to school ready to learn, even with all the fun fall activities happening.
Here are a few reminders and updates for the week:
Halloween Fun: Students may wear school-appropriate costumes on Thursday, October 30. Please avoid masks that cover the face, scary or gory themes, and any accessories that resemble weapons.
Learning Focus: Even with the festivities, we’re continuing our strong focus on learning! We’ll be reviewing key skills in reading and math and wrapping up our fall units.
Cooler Weather: Please make sure your child brings a jacket each morning and that all items are labeled with their name. Our lost and found is growing more and more each day. Please check the lost and found in the front office if your child is missing a jacket, lunchbox, or water bottle.
We appreciate your continued support and wish everyone a safe, fun, and spooktacular Halloween!
Warmly,
Ms. Duncan

Annual Parent Forum:
Join us for CSISD's annual Parent Forum on Monday, October 27, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at China Spring Elementary School. This year's event focuses on student health, safety, and success, with expert speakers covering topics such as vaping, attendance, student safety, and restorative behavior strategies. It's a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to stay informed and connected.
China Spring ISD VATRE Measure:
Early voting for the China Spring ISD VATRE measure continues through Friday, October 31. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. The proposed total tax rate is $0.98192, which is 3.7 cents lower than last year's rate. If voters approve the VATRE, it will provide about $2.16 million in additional annual funding for our schools, while still keeping the overall school tax rate lower than last year.
Visit the CSISD VATRE website to find a complete list of early voting locations and hours, and review a copy of the ballot for McLennan and Bosque counties: https://www.chinaspringisd.net/o/csisd/page/voting.
